We’re excited to report that we raised more than $35,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at this year’s Window World Cares Charity Golf Classic at Canyon Springs Golf Club! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all who participated!
An Incredible Cause
Founded in 1962 by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, St. Jude treats more than 5,700 patients each year and is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. St. Jude’s is financially supported by thousands of individual donors, organizations and corporations without which the hospital’s work would not be possible.
If you ever get the chance to visit their Memphis facility, you will come away changed. For anyone who’s ever had a child go through a catastrophic disease, you will know that there’s nothing as horrible.
Here’s the beautiful thing about St Jude – they don’t just do research for themselves. They actually share it, increasing the chances of finding cures for these diseases. St. Jude runs on 100% of donations, and no family that has ever been treated at their hospital has ever received a bill. It’s incredible. If you aren’t already giving, I encourage you to look at it and start. It’s just a phenomenal thing.
Prizes Beyond Belief
Every year we go all out. This year we had more than 40 gifts, including: a hand-signed Cowboys jersey, multiple types of jewelry, watches, a Kate Spade bag, a trip to the Dominican Republic, Whataburger gift baskets, a 7-night Vatican stay, a 5-night Cabo San Lucas stay, a 5-night Royal Caribbean cruise to Canada, an Alaskan cruise, a trip to Las Vegas. All of these and more were up for grabs in a silent auction with prizes beyond belief!
Being a Partner in Hope is something near and dear to our hearts that we’ve been doing for years. This touches everyone – even if you don’t have a direct family member that’s been affected by this, you should still be touched by it.
