Winter is upon us. Christmas is around the corner. Wish lists are growing and lines at department stores are getting longer. Your neighbors’ roofs are lit up at night, and Christmas music is on the radio. This is the perfect time of year to think about others. Take some time this season to give to those around you, so they too can have some holiday cheer. Window World TX works with nonprofits around the nation to help those less fortunate, and you can too!
Organizations to Donate to in San Antonio
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is known for its outstanding treatment of childhood illnesses such as cancer, leukemia, sickle cell disease, tumors and other infectious diseases. St. Jude works with cutting-edge technologies to not only help children but also further science around the world. Another amazing quality that St. Jude has is its compassion. The hospital will cover all costs that are not paid for by insurance, and it does not ask families to pay if they do not have insurance.
Veterans Airlift Command
The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to wounded warriors, veterans and their families for medical purposes or other emergencies. The flights are run by volunteer pilots and volunteer aircraft owners. Their unity and loyalty to one another remind us to support our troops and be thankful for their service.
Wrappin’ With Jack
The brainchild of KTSA host Jack Riccardi, Wrappin’ With Jack brings together volunteers to donate and wrap hundreds of gifts for families in San Antonio. The event partners with Family Service Association of San Antonio, and the goal is to provide gifts like blankets, kitchen items, games and toys so that every member of a family has a gift under the tree. This year’s Wrappin’ With Jack is December 6th from 7-9p at Magnolia Halle.
These are just a few of the incredible organizations that Window World helps to support. This holiday, think about what you can do for others and help those who dedicate their time to help others. Which of these organizations to donate to in San Antonio would you like to support this Christmas?
